Mrs. Kathleen Cramer has been employed by the Seaford School District since 1990. She served as a kindergarten para-professional at West Seaford Elementary School for many years. She then transitioned to working with students in the Autism Program at both Frederick Douglass Elementary and Seaford High School in the Pre-K Autism Program. For the past two years, Mrs. Cramer has worked in the Autism Program at Blades Elementary School. Mrs. Cramer has a wealth of knowledge about working with younger students, especially students with special needs. She served as a role model for other para-professionals at Blades Elementary and worked collaboratively with the Autism teacher. Mrs. Cramer will be missed by the administration, staff and students!

Martini Wise-Cannon was assigned the role of a para-educator but in retrospect she was a “mom away” from home for our students and for that they will truly miss her.

The two senior members of the SHS Track Team are Johnny Cetoute, Taion Jenkins.

An Announcement from the Seaford Community:

On May 23rd community partners have generously donated and created signs for seniors to be displayed in the community. There will be a presentation on Saturday, May 23rd at 12pm on 400 N. Market Street Ext. (Jay’s Nest). The signs will be displayed for 24 hours, students/families will be allowed to pick up their signs on Sunday. They encourage you to drive-thru with your cars decorated as you view the pictures. The student can pick up their signs on Sunday, May 24th after 12pm.

The closure of schools due to COVID-19 cost our athletes their spring season. We will honor our senior spring athletes over the next few weeks by posting their pictures and sharing their words about what it meant to them to be a Blue Jay!

Secretary of Education Susan Bunting congratulates 91 public school students from the Class of 2020 for being named Secretary of Education Scholars. Seaford High School Secretary of Education Scholars are Marley Fishburn and Megan Tran.

DIAA "Friday Night Lights" took place on Friday, April 24, 2020 to honor Class of 2020 Student Athletes. The lights were turned on at Dowd Stadium at 8:00 PM for 20 minutes and 20 seconds. The event was broadcast on Facebook live and you are able to view on the district Facebook page.

On Fridays five Seaford School District teachers are playing music at the Seaford Library while the food service truck is distributing meals.

Blades Elementary and Fred Douglass Elementary faculty and staff "paraded" through their school zones on April 21, 2020. Staff, parents and students all enjoyed the event as everyone was able to everyone for a few moments. Facebook live at one point at 1,500 views of the event!
